Q. What courses do you deliver?
A. we provide a wide selection of training courses to suit a good variety of working envirenment requirements. Contact us for further information or have a look at our courses section.

Q. what are the costs?
A. the costs of course differ from course to course. prices can be found on our booking system, or by contacting us direct. We do also offer some courses on a funded basis for unemployed people through one of our network partners (subject to requirements - terms and conditions apply)

Q. Are the courses Nationally recognised?
A. Almost all of the courses we deliver are nationally recognised and accreditted via our awarding body. We can also offer in house / bespoke training to suit your individual requirements.

Q. Do you deliver the CSCS courses?
A. We deliver the course that is required in order for you to obtain a green cscs card, but we don't do the actualy CSCS courses, as these are done at the same location as you would sit a driving theory test. however, if you are to do your Level 1 Working in a Construction Environment course with us, then we would be able to assist you in then registering & booking our CSCS test too.

Q. Who are the SIA?
A. The Security Industry Authority is responsible for the issue of Security Licenses.

Q. Who needs an SIA Security Licence?
A. Anyone working within the security sector where the activity is defined as licensable; Security Guard, Door Supervisors, Wheel Clampers, Cash & valuables in transit, close protection, CCTV operatives & Key Holding.

Q. Which one do I need?
A. Protect Training delivers qualifications which meet the criteria for Door Supervisors & Security Guards. A door Supervisors front line licence allows the holder to work as a Door Supervisor or Security Guard.

Q. Are there any hidden training costs?
A. No. Protect Training prices are the total that you pay for the training, examinations and certificates.

Q. What happens if I fail an exam?
A. In the unlikely event you fail an examination then you will simply pay for a re-sit examination. Costs vary dependant upon the module failed. Any additional training will be free of charge.

Q. Do the courses include exams?
A. Yes. For a qualification to be recognised it must include a controlled examination. The Door Supervisor & security Guard courses have two independent examinations.

Q. Can you carry out onsite training?
A. The examinations are independently invigilated and are subject to audit by the awarding body so must be held in a controlled environment which is suitable for the examination process, such as a classroom.

Q. How long will it take to get exam results & Certificates?
A. Our awarding bodies are market leaders and understand the importance of providing its candidates with exam results and certificates promptly. Normally results will be phoned through to candidates within a week of examinations and certificates will be available within two weeks

Q. Do I need to wait for Certificates before I can apply for my SIA licence?
A. No. The SIA have the ability to check certificates on line, so once you have confirmation of passing the qualification submit your application.

Q. If I have reading or learning difficulties - can you help?
A. Yes. The awarding body will permit additional help / learning for legitimate reasons. Please advise of any requirements or issues on first contact with Protect Training (Always treated in the strictest confidence).
