Level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment

This qualification is supported by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB). The Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment qualification that is designed to provide Learners with a basic awareness of health and safety within a construction environment. We can award this qualification via the Highfield Awarding body.

Intended Audience

This qualification is ideal for those who work in, or are aiming towards working in the construction environment. It has been specifically designed to provide a route towards applying for the Green CSCS Card (Labourers card).

Course Overview

During the course, the learners will develop an understanding of health and safety in the context of construction, to assist them in working safely in this environment. Topics covered include: the risks of working in a construction environment, principles of risk assessments for improving health and safety at work, the importance of working safely at height and much more

Assessment Methods

HABC Course – Portfolio based assessment

Upon successful completion of this course the learner will need to book a CSCS examination with a CITB test centre and complete their examination to apply for a CSCS card.
