AWARD FOR Door SuperviSORS TOP-UP Qualification
In March 2012 the SIA announced the intention to require existing door supervisors who had achieved the pre-QCF Door Supervision qualification (for example the National Certificate for Door Supervision) to undertake additional training in order to renew their licence. This upskill / top-up training was then replaced in 2021 by more effective and suitable training topics, to suit the evolving changes within the industry.
This Qualification will take 23 guided learning hours. there is an eliment of home study / distance learning to be completed for this course.
ALL LEARNERS ENROLLED ON THIS COURSE MUST HOLD A VALID FIRST AID AT WORK / EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK QUALIFICATION BEFORE THEY CAN SIT THIS COURSE.
The qualification is assessed by practical assessments & multiple choice examinations.
This qualification comprises the following units:
- Principles of terror threat awareness
- principles of using equipment as a door supervisor
- The application of physical intervention skills
